You can create a security group using either Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC)<\/strong> or PowerShell<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Open Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC)<\/strong>:\n
      \n
    • Launch\u00a0Server Manager<\/strong>, navigate to\u00a0Tools<\/strong>, and select\u00a0Active Directory Users and Computers<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Navigate to the Desired Location<\/strong>:\n

      • In the console tree,\u00a0right-click<\/strong>\u00a0on the Organizational Unit (OU) or container (e.g., the ‘Users’ folder) where you want to create the new group.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Create New Group<\/strong>:\n

        • From the context menu, select\u00a0New > Group<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            • In the “New Object – Group” dialog box:\n

              • Choose the appropriate\u00a0Group scope<\/strong>:\u00a0Global<\/strong>,\u00a0Domain Local<\/strong>, or\u00a0Universal<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Ensure the\u00a0Group type<\/strong>\u00a0is set to\u00a0Security<\/strong>\u00a0(not Distribution).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Click\u00a0OK<\/strong>\u00a0to create the group.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
